Jay Flood is an Emmy-nominated composer who has contributed to such scores as Transformers, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Desperate Housewives, Ghost Whisperer, Smallville, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and many others. A composer of symphonies, instrumentalist and producer, he was recruited by Hans Zimmer and composed on many number one box office films. Jay scored the film Zemene which won “Best Documentary” at the Boston Film Festival, and he works in video games, co-composing with Steve Jablonsky on Transformers:The Game, and writing additional music for The Sims 3, Metal Gear Solid 2 and others.
Jay is an educator and has taught at UCLA and Longy School of Music of Bard College in Cambridge, Massachusetts where he developed the film scoring program. He just returned from Budapest, Hungary where he conducted and recorded his score to the ambitious, aquatic experience in Branson, Missouri; Aquarium at the Boardwalk.
