Jay Flood, PhD, is an Emmy-nominated composer who has contributed to such scores as Transformers, Desperate Housewives, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Ghost Whisperer, Smallville, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and many others. A composer of symphonies, instrumentalist and producer, he was recruited by Harry Gregson Williams, Hans Zimmer, John Debney, Mark Snow, and he scored with Steve Jablonsky on nine number one box office films. Jay composed the music for the film Zemene which won “Best Documentary” at the Boston Film Festival, the stage version of The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, and he has scored in the video game world, co-composing with Jablonsky on Transformers:The Game, and writing additional music for The Sims 3, Metal Gear Solid 2 and others.

Jay is faculty in composition and film scoring at Longy School of Music of Bard College in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
